There is only one 1000 Ohm resistor included with Acts 1 and Acts 2, so it cannot be the case that there is a 1000 Ohm resistor in both the starting setup and in the available parts.
Because the challenge mentions R1, I think it would be best to leave R1 in the starting setup, and remove the 1000 Ohm resistor from the available parts.
